All the hype regarding the launch of Halo 3 later this year has been shadowed by the announcement that two new maps for Halo 2 will be released on April 17th through the Halo 2 downloader in the game. One of the best features for all of us Halo fanatics, it’s only going to cost you $4! Not bad considering some prices for many other game expansion maps can run up to $19 per map. The two new maps will be titled Tombstone and Desolation. The maps are remakes of the popular Hang ‘Em High and Derelict maps. The maps will be available for both the XBOX 360 and the original XBOX. Microsoft Game Studios and Bunjie have both confirmed the releases today as thanks to all those Halo fanatics fragging their way beyond 800 million combined hours of Halo 2 gaming on XBOX Live.
